Best Traditional Mexican Restaurants in Chicxulub Puerto

It was a busy Friday night and the restaurant was very exciting. The service was good and most of us enjoyed our meals. The milanesa was the exception though…the sauce was very bland. The aguacate Estelar was outstanding! I’ve never had a dish like it before. If you are hoping to enjoy conversation with your dinner companions be aware that the restaurant is very loud. A DJ is spinning tunes and it might seem like you are in a club instead of a restaurant. The vibe is very exciting though.

Ramiro was a clear highlight of our Mérida trip! We ate at several higher-end restaurants along the way and nothing compared. It easily made our top three meals of the whole trip (across Mexico City and Cancun!). We went for lunch the day we got engaged and had made a reservation. The service was exceptional throughout, with little complimentary appetizers and a dessert to end. The team clearly cares about the experience! The food was incredible!! One dish in particular still lives rent-free in my mind: a tostada with roasted vegetables and banana that was unexpected and completely delicious. We loved it so much we tried to come back the following night, only to find them closed. That probably says it all. Highly recommend.

This is one of the amazing gems found during a holiday. The initial greeting is full of warmth and smiles. The interior is somewhat basic but the dishes created by Chef Omar are anything but. Exquisite cuisine. Highly recommended.
