Best Cozy Restaurants in Lewes, Brighton

I have given a 5 star review because we had a lovely experience at this restaurant. I was a tiny bit disappointed, however, when I learned that the portabelo mushroom dish was not vegan and I had hoped they could maybe change the cheese stuffing for a vegan one. But at the end of the day the dish I chose was superb and the whole experience was a joy.

Wonderful food and really lovely, friendly service. Outstanding value for some very delicious pizza, padron peppers and the most delicious tiramisu!

Let me start by saying that I'm a Neapolitan pizza chef and a very demanding one, and I can say that the pizza dough is excellent, the atmosphere is very relaxing, you can feel the Italian authenticity, and the waitress is very good, helpful, and fast. But one thing that shocked me... the coffee! I think it's the best in the UK. I've lived in London for almost 10 years and I've never had such good and creamy coffee, a real transport to nderr Napoli!

We had an amazing lunch here, 4 people and one gluten free individual. The restaurant really caters for gluten free with all GF homemade sauces and no MSG so perfect peace of mind. We recently came back from Bali and the food here tastes just like the cuisine we ate. Fresh, so flavoursome, really good quality meat and good portion sizes. A hidden gem and we will definitely be returning.
