First time at this restaurant as we are staying in Coronado for a few weeks. My wife and I reserved a table/booth on the patio at 5pm just as the sun was setting. This was for our anniversary dinner. Shane our waiter was very nice and offered great insight into the meals on the menu. We decided to start with a couple of mocktails with a side kick. My wife had the tropical spritzer with strawberry, mango, pineapple and a side shot of coconut rum (she loved it!) I had the hibiscus spritzer and she put half of the shot of rum in mine. Very good! My wife does not have a big appetite, so we opted for the appetizer cauliflower dish and split the lobster rigatoni dish. Both dishes were amazing, and the lobster rigatoni had big chunks of lobster, not just small pieces. We both loved it, and would get the same thing again. Then Shane brought out the desert menu and we were torn between the gelato sundae in a boat and the cake and the cheesecake. My wife loves pistachio gelato, but they did not have that. We asked Shane his recommendation, and he said cheesecake first, or the sundae, but if were really wanted pistachio gelato, the shop down from them, (Sundae's) had a large selection of gelato. We decided to go there and although they didn't have pistachio gelato, they did have a Dubai Chocolate with pistachios in it. We both got this in a cone and it was very delicious.
We would definitely revisit Serea again for a special occasion and probably get the same thing again. It was that good. And thank you Shane for being such a great host/waiter and being completely honest about his recommendations. This was a great dinner/evening out for our anniversary dinner!
