Best Family Style Restaurants in Piermont

There were six of us adults in our party and we got our own little “nook” which was super nice and easy for us to talk and interact. The Restaurant week menu was delicious- I had filet mignon, another friend had sesame tuna tartare and another friend did the salmon. The bread and bacon appetizers were delicious. Their desserts were very well done and perfect sizes- not too small and not too overwhelming.

This casual restaurant has been a local jewel for many years. The ambiance is warm and friendly with regulars enjoying excellent and creative cooking and wonderfully curated wine list with reasonable prices and generous helpings. The owner and executive chef Dave Dubarry is a Dobbs Ferry icon. If you haven’t tried Dave’s pork ossobuco, or pasta with ragu you are missing a truly stunning gastronomical experience. We drove up from Manhattan (45 minutes) for an early dinner and were blown away by the food. The 4 course special fixed dinner was $40 pp with an amazing $40 bottle of Syrah from Cortona Italy. I don’t want to create an unreasonable expectation, but, if you have the opportunity to eat here, just don’t miss it.
