- CclaireLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe love the Fox & Hounds and always go when we have a celebration as it is the best food pub in the area. Last night didn’t disappoint, wine was delicious and I happened to make a poor choice on dessert. I explained why I hadn’t liked a part of it and without any question is was removed from the bill with an offer of a free drink too. Honestly, you can tell the service ethos and the class of an establishment in the way they respond to feedback. The Fox & Hounds team have class in spades and always give the very best service. Excellent service, delicious tasty food, great atmosphere, and amazing value for money. Even the choice of music was cool. Booked our table for 530pm on a Friday, so glad we did as the restaurant filled up, and I can see why. We were served by Kian who was friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Service was attentive but never intrusive, with food and drinks arriving quickly. What a joy as someone who lives with coeliac disease to find that, for a change, there was very little I could not eat. Likewise for dairy - usually the need to avoid both dairy and gluten means a very restricted choice with multiple questions and back and forth between the server and chef. Not the case at Pho, which was so refreshing 😃 Spoilt for choice, we asked Kian for any recommendations (chicken thigh rice bowl being one of them). We started with the prawn crackers, pork meatballs and summer rolls. For mains, we tucked into beef brisket noodle soup and chicken rice bowl. Would recommend that diners turn up hungry! With our pudding stomachs we finished off with mango and raspberry sorbet, delicious. Overall a brilliant experience, well done Pho, will definitely be back again soon!More infoPho Cambridge££££• Vietnamese• Cambridge•4.6

- SSimonLondon •6 reviews5.0Dined on Apr 30, 2026Had a really lovely lunch yesterday at Trio in Saffron Walden. We took a friend out for a relaxed afternoon, and it proved the perfect setting. The ambience was warm and stylish, and the service was excellent — attentive, friendly and well judged throughout. We started with excellent cocktails, then enjoyed a superb main course selection: calamari, parmigiana and spaghetti carbonara, all beautifully prepared and full of flavour. A couple of bowls of mixed salad completed what turned into a very generous meal. By the end we were too satisfied for dessert, so finished instead with very good coffees after spending several happy hours in a convivial atmosphere. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, and somewhere we’d be very happy to return to.More infoTrio££££• Italian• Saffron Walden•4.6
