In a state where "Mexican" food is distinguished by "New Mexican" food Herencia stands out for its exceptional menu that coalesces both. The chicken mole is as good as any you'll find in a grandmother's kitchen in Mexico! Service by Augustin was outstanding. The very friendly owner dropped by to ensure that we were satisfied with dinner. All in all, a very good restaurant that is far above the average fare at just about every other southwestern or Mexican food restaurant in Albuquerque. Herencia offers sophisticated food like none other in the area.,

A nice place to dine the staff are very attentive and a wide variety of meats. Love the grilled pineapple as always and the cheese with honey.

Our first time here and just like others have said, the food was a few dollars more per item then other similar places, but the quality really was good and plenty of food. The service was exemplary and well worth the extra money. We will be going back for sure, so many good things to try. We went for breakfast.
