Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Memphis, Memphis / West Tennessee

Char is consistently excellent. The food the service and the setting make it the ideal “power lunch” spot. The evening bar and dinner crowd are also very well served. I go all the time and have never had anything but a great experience.

Seriously, one of my all-time favorite restaurants ever! The lobster and crab Benedict is unbelievable. Stuffed flounder was one of our favorites. Also, the lava cake and the blueberry strudel were to die for. Also, the flight of salads is a must. I am a lifelong Fan. 

There were eight of us, and everyone ordered something different. We had a couple of appetizers (the bang shrimp were excellent.). Stand outs were the Ahi Tuna salad and the salmon with risotto. The biggest surprise were the French fries - the best I have had outside of a little place off of 68th street in NY. The service was slow, and our food came out at different times. The waiter was trying to cover the entire restaurant and it was an impossible task - they weren’t that busy, but the service suffered fr the hostess seating people all over the restaurant. For the money, you just can’t beat this place.
