Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Monterey

Professional, friendly and lovely staff. Amazing food and=d great service

Lovely space in the old Holman building. We enjoyed seeing the Jo Mora and other art on the walls as we entered and were seated in the corner window table for our anniversary dinner. Our servers were very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. Everything we ordered to eat was next level.. pricey, but that's how things are these days thanks to you know who.. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend for your special night out.

We went to The Valley Kitchen a handful of times during our stay and the waitstaff was fantastic. Especially Jose and Logan.

Love to eat at Jack’s every time I stay at Portola‘s food is good ambience is beautiful. Service is great. Love the fireplace. I’m usually there with my kids. Otherwise the bar looks like a nice spot to share some hors d’oeuvres and drinks. 

This is a great restaurant for family dining; we had a party of 8 with ages 3 to 86 and really enjoyed our experience. Our table sampled the menu from Middle Eastern to European to pizza, and each dish was skillfully prepared and tasty. The service and atmosphere are friendly and unpretentious, which made us feel like we were dining with neighbors. Eating here isn't just about the food but having a fun, relaxing meal out with family.
