Best Restaurants for Birthdays in St. Joseph

We were visiting Kansas and wanted to take our son out for his 17th Birthday. He loves Italian and so we were hoping for a special night. We were blown away by the dishes at Lazia along with the experienced staff and the advice and recommendations that they gave. Every dish was exquisite, prepared with care and tasted phenomenal. We felt really cared for by our server and loved the beautiful cake that they brought out to celebrate our son's big day. The atmosphere at the restaurant was elegant but not stuffy and felt intimate and inviting. I will definitely go there again to try other dishes. A must stop in Kansas city.

We had a delightful dinner last evening. The atmosphere was quiet and inviting .Our server (Selma )was exceptional. The food as always was on point. Our meal consisted of seared scallops, delicious potato purée, and crab-cakes with a wedge salad. We ordered the mascarpone cheesecake for dessert which was equally outstanding. Several other diners around us had wonderfully prepared steaks that looked to die for. We have dined here several times, while staying at Harrah’s and can honestly, it is one of our favorite restaurants in the Kansas City area. We enjoyed our meal so much we made reservations for the next evening. This time we will have the steak.!!

Our first time at Johnnie’s was a really nice date night for hubby and me. We loved the service and ambiance. A special shout out to Myke Jones for his beautiful vocals of jazz standards. The cocktails were good and happy hour pricing is reasonable! We would definitely go back and try more food items. The pretzels, burger and wedge salad were priced appropriately.

Great food great service but too loud with the music turned up too much

The gazpacho that was in the cerviche was amazing! The food, service, and overall experience was very enjoyable, we definitely would eat there again!
