Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Baldock

Very well looked after. Small group celebrating multiple birthdays. Enjoyable meal overall from set menu. Very attentive staff, but few other diners so might not be representative at busier times.

I went with 3 friends and wanted to have a really excellent Indian meal with people I am very close to. The whole experience was excellent! The service was attentive and prompt but not intrusive. The onion bhaghee starters were absolutely fabulous! Large round balls of crispy exterior yet moist interior onion joy. We had a mixture of hot and medium curries and two very good bottles of wine. When I came to pay the bill I asked was service included and they said no. I really like that because if the service had been bad I would have had to create a scene but this way the choice was mine. I left a 20% tip in cash even though I paid by card. I will return for sure!

I booked a table for 4 for my Japanese wife's birthday. She is always picky but was very satisfied with the experience. The weather was nice so we were invited to eat in the shaded garden. The variety of food we ordered was fresh and beautifully presented. And the portions were generous. The personnel let us bring our own birthday cake and helped serve it. Overall a brilliant occasion which will certainly not be the last here.

family get together. thoroughly enjoyable Mother’s Day lunch - we were a part of 12 and understandably the pub was very busy and the staff were a bit stretched - service was therefore a little compromised but overall we have a super lunch - The food was very good indeed and no complaints on taste. I do feel the set price of £50 was a little rich however but it did not negatively impact on our day. Thank you team A&C - great time had by all.
