I had a great solo dining experience to end my magical trip to Ireland and Scotland. My sever was maybe even better than the meal. Very enjoyable and knew the menus very well. When someone dines solo it can go two ways. Amazing and made to feel special and well taken care of… or…. Ignored because the server doesn’t think they will be tipped as well as the couple dining next to them. I had a perfect experience. I would dine there again for both food and service.

Amazing service throughout, fantastic food with so much flavour and the staff checked up on us to ensure we were having a great experience. Would definitely recommend and visit again. It’s always a bit more challenging to find a food place when it’s supposed to suit different demographics (in this case two middle-aged women and a primary school child). The Gruff Goat made us feel welcome, had an excellent food and wine menu and a no-nonsense kids plate. I had the Halloumi and Avocado Salad, which was excellent, and we were served by a very lovely and patient member of staff. Highly recommend.
