Best Restaurants for People Watching in Old City

First visit to A.Kitchen and it was a great experience from start to finish. Sat at the chef's counter where we watched our chef juggle the lunch crowd by himself with a smile and great skill. We had a glass of wine from the small but well-selected list and a specialty cocktail. Great start. One server for the small room but she was so nice and attentive despite the challenge. Opened with the Chickpea Panisse. A unique taste of delicately fried chickpeas, not a falafel ball, but a relative over tahini and charred veggies. Large steak frites came with huge steakhouse fries, perfectly grilled as ordered. Branzino was a filet grilled to absolute perfection with tiny veggies all around. One chance for a first impression and A.Kitchen over delivered.

In our party of 4, only I had been to Louie Louie before. We were dazzled! We started with oysters on the half shell, roasted bone marrow (exceptional) and steak tartare. Mains were all delicious and well presented: Flounder Françsise, Verlasso salmon, moules frites and Mediterranean bronzino. Desserts were Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée and cookies and cream trifle. A splendid meal!

The food and the stinger was great. Or waitress was awesome.

The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with generous portions and a great selection of classic Italian dishes.

Excellent Roasted Branzino and Broccolini. The gentlemen enjoyed their steak frites. Very good service on this early Friday evening. Lots of people/action in the adjoining bar
