Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Turgis Green

The Greyhound is one of our favourite restaurants in the area and this visit was nit disappointing. We have a really well cooked and prepared Rabbit pie for 2. It was as good as the best home cooked pie could be. We will definitely return again regularly.

Still one of the best restaurants Reading has,long may it continue.

This is a lovely traditonal pub. Service was fast and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food came out quickly and the portions were just right and everything was cooked perfectly. Presentation was great. Sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I’ve had!

Six of us had an amazing lunch last Saturday. I booked the table and we were offered the private room which was lovely. Very attentive service, nothing was too much trouble, and all arrived soon after we had ordered. Food was simply delicious and the wine choice excellent. We had a great time, it was most enjoyable so thank you.

Excellent village pub with a great choice of pub classics. My wife and I had Pie & Mash & a dirty burger for mains and a side order of the crispiest onion rings I have ever had! Chocolate brownie & a Cherry Bakewell cheesecake ( with a Jammie dodger ice cream Sandwich ) for dessert. A warm welcome at the bar and our table was ready shortly afterwards. Service was attentive but not in your face , food was excellent & great value for money, would recommend.
