    Absolutely perfect - as always at the Beetle and Wedge - and particularly impressive as they’d clearly had a monstrously busy weekend and were “ on their knees” but didn’t show that at all!

    I had booked a table for 3 for 1.30 on a Bank Holiday, a birthday celebration and meet up with old friends. We arrived very early but we were welcomed immediately and seated and there was a birthday card on the table, - nice touch! The food was excellent, served in good time and the wine especially good. Good size portions, so we only managed the ice cream for desert but lots of choice of flavours and large scoops! We stayed a long time but never felt rushed or hurried to leave. I wish I lived locally because I’d certainly like to visit again.
