Best Restaurants for Afternoon Coffee in Ewhurst

Great restaurant on James St. It's busy but you wouldn't know it with the attentiveness of the team. I can recommend the Tagliolini and Gamberi Nduja as starters; these are amazing.

I introduced a friend to the Wallace Collection restaurant earlier this week for lunch, and it was a very enjoyable experience. Firstly, the food was excellent. We both chose the Prawn Risotto, which looked wonderful and tasted delicious, and we followed this with an apple and raspberry cake, also beautiful to look at, with a lovely fruity and nutty taste. Our waitress was charming and friendly and her service was excellent and very efficient. Also, on arrival the waitress on duty was very welcoming and showed me the various seating options, and I was able to choose the best one for me. I am pleased to have this opportunity to thank the staff again for making this such a perfect visit.

The Wolseley is simply a sublime place to be. When you add to that the exquisite food, clearly cooked with skill, care and panache, one can only conclude that there is no better place to enjoy a meal in London. Of course, these are not greasy spoon prices. For me, it's for special occasions. This time, it was my son's birthday. I first took him there when he was 9, so there is all the caché of past history for us too. But, oh my goodness, how they take care of you, make you feel special. They are attentive without ever being intrusive. The waiter who served us (I didn't get his name - we were there Tuesday 27th, booked for 10.45am but were late, due to a train delay) was the embodiment of professional charm and grace but served with great warmth. Thanks Wolseley, again, for a fabulous experience.
