Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Monterey, California Central Coast

Our favorite Spanish food in the Bay area. Lovely service and delicious food.

Food was wonderful and cooked perfectly. Chef was very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Jordan, our server, was beyond attentive & just fabulous. Definitely going back!!!’

First off, this restaurant is super exciting if you're in the mood to try something different. While studying the menu, I found all sorts of treats like a fantastic Orange Mole' and an incredible Lobster and Shrimp Entree that had a sauce that was just the perfect blend of tangy, sweet, and hot, and made the poached seafood really stand out. As for the drinks, all were excellent. I do think the restaurant would benefit from finding a better way to utilize the bar, but that didn't limit our fun. Service was friendly and fine. The interior is warm and inviting. Like the bar, I do think they'd benefit from drawing a younger crowd if the music matched the interior.

Venus has become one of our regular hangouts. The food quality has increased quite substantially since the restaurant opened. The menu has just the right amount of options, not to be overwhelming and there was always something for everyone. The atmosphere is fantastic and as locals, we love to take advantage of the specials during the week.
