Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Wayland

Best in the area. Service without great food would be just another sad West Michigan missed opportunity. Great food without service, go to NYC. But for both, go here. A constant unveiling of creative combinations-- but never precious. And you will walk away perfectly satisfied, no need to hit the drive thru on the way home. Coast (and its Italian cousin, Heritage Social) take the toil out of deciding where to eat out.

We enjoyed another great dinner at Ruth’s Chris, celebrating our anniversary. Our server, Kurt, was excellent and gave us great recommendations. Each dish we had…crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer, petite filets (one with lobster, the other Oscar style), sides and dessert…were delicious. We look forward to our next visit!

Great service from the door to the table. The recommendations and service provided by Anna were spectacular! I enjoyed the Caesar salad, scallops, potatoes. The Apple Pie with an Americano was the finishing touch of a fabulous evening.

I had a 5:15pm reservation on a weekday and arrived early. I was seated at a lovely table set for 1 by the windows on a quiet floor. The staff was so friendly. I enjoyed a cocktail (Smoke Sareen), appetizer (stuffed dates), and entrée (bison short-ribs) and everything was incredible. I am not someone who enjoys dining alone, but Scholar made my solo date night remarkable. Thank you!

We had an early Saturday evening dinner at 4:30 pm. We got “social hour” pricing on drinks which was nice. The Maryland Crab cake appetizer was delicious and fresh off the grill. Our entrees were also winners - salmon perfectly cooked with a nice sauce, amazing mushroom risotto, and asparagus; and filet mignon also perfectly cooked over a delicious cheesy potato cake and asparagus on the side. Parking was a little tight as there was a wedding in progress! Worth the drive and enjoyed the lake view and beachy ambiance.
