It was a great lunch experience that was novel for our 4 visitors who are not from Narragansett. The igloo’s view, comfort and the fresh air was incredibly enjoyable, as was the service and the food. We were in the igloo that had the western USA theme. What could be improved? The Coast Guard House had told us we can pick/choose the igloo. The reality is that you are assigned an igloo and you have no choice. That was disappointing. The other minor gripe is the table setting. Your food is to be eaten on kneehigh tables. In hindsight, we wished we had ordered a bunch of shareable’s instead of everybody, ordering individual lunch plates and having to eat, bent over and leaning forward. All things considered, I would recommend igloos at the Coast Guard house.

It was a Sunday night, not busy at all, we picked our table. The service was great, the food was excellent. My son had a bone in Swordfish special and love it. The overall experience was fantastic.

Wonderful time in a gorgeous atmosphere. Went in for lunch and enjoyed the outside space that was beautifully decorated for fall after we ate. Our server was fantastic. 12/10 experience and I look forward to coming back!

Our waiter was absolutely outstanding! He was managing both the bar and the restaurant tables, yet still provided exceptional service. He was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly personable. His ability to balance everything while making sure everyone felt well taken care of was truly impressive. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend checking this place out

The food was amazing and the service was excellent. She understood that we wanted some space and gave us privacy without hovering. The tuna sashimi is my favorite, the endive salad was delicious, and the cheese board was great. Both the chicken and venison were perfectly cooked, and the wine was excellent. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Go here often, but went for Pasta Monday. Didn't expect much, but the quality and value were UNREAL. Seafood Fra Diavolo, big plate, lots of tasty seafood and pasta for $14. Can't beat it. We'll be back on Mondays for sure

We love the Shanty and the Corner House, same owner. Kara has taken a former local bar and turned it into an incredible restaurant for all. Normally you can tell a restaurant by the cars in the parking lot. Tonight there were pick up trucks, SUVs, older model cars and a Rolls Royce. The staff is tremendous, always smiling, seemingly a "family" and you are part of their family. The food is always incredible. Great portions, tasty, hot or cold, depending on the item with an innovative menu. Tonight the specials were too good to resist and then there is the "Big Ole Burger" another favorite. It was our second time this week, the first was a takeout after a long workday. The second, a meetup with friends.
