A wonderful time. Very nice atmosphere and decor. A varied menu with lots of great choices. We had the seafood platter appetizer and the two of us shared it. Scrumptious! Then I had the Digby Hodge Podge for even more seafood. Excellent! My wife had the Atlantic Salmon and really enjoyed it. Our server Damon was very friendly and helpful with meal and wine suggestions. Overall, a great experience.

First time my husband and I tried this place and it was fantastic! It’s a smaller restaurant which I like and both the service and food was awesome. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We tried a new pizza that they and just added to the menu. Combination of pork belly, apple and mushroom. Would never of thought that combo of flavours would have worked together but it was delicious! The head chef even dropped by to see how we liked our meal. We will definitely be back.

First time at Hux and it was a great experience. The atmosphere and service was excellent. Good vibe and noise level was good even tho the restaurant was quite full. A varied menu with lots of interesting choices. I do think that there could be just a bit more seasoning to elevate the flavour profile of the dishes. For example, the chimichurri could have more mint, chilis and garlic to add flavour interest. A bit more sauce with the shrimp, which were grilled to perfection. A great experience and I look forward to returning! The service was especially remarkable!

I haven’t been to Gio in some time. It reminded me why it was a go to favorite. The atmosphere was beautiful and quiet. Easy to have conversation. The menu choice met everyone’s needs. The service from beginning to end was outstanding. The food was very flavourful and great portion size. Above all. As it gets more challenging to dine out with elevated costs. Especially on wine. Or smaller portion sizes. Gio did not disappoint. They exceeded our expectations on all fronts. A hidden gem worth being rediscovered.

All up, a very pleasant dinning experience. Food was better than good as was the wine and beer selection. Ryan our waiter was excellent and more than covered the main downside of the evening which was the noise of the night club coming through from next door. But I will acknowledge it was the night before Halloween, so maybe a rare occasion.

The food options were good from meat to seafood. Beautifully prepared and tasted very good. Enjoyed the tender gnocchi with lobster sauce. Salads fresh and tasty.
