Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

    We had a wonderful meal at Filigrana. Christopher our server and the rest of the staff were wonderful, they explained each dish and the story behind it, offered recommendations tasting options and an overall great experience. We loved the appetizers the most mini tostadas and ceviche. Cocktails were excellent and the pork belly delicious! The only thing to improve was the music very random and distracting at times.

    This meal was incredible, and the wait staff was excellent. Everything we had was really great, but the standouts were the complimentary dashi to begin the meal, the duck entree, which was the best duck preparation I've ever had, and the dessert was mind-blowing. I'm such a dessert person and I think the Greek biscuit with orange and yogurt, and verbana ice cream with lime foam, was the best dessert I've ever had. And that's saying a lot given that I live in LA and my wife and I are major foodies who eat at lots of top restaurants. Also the cocktails were really good. This was a perfect dinner in a very beautiful setting. Would totally come back just for that dessert!
