- MMelanieOxford/Oxfordshire •1 review5.0Dined on Apr 17, 2026Excellent Meal, Granted it was from the Set Menu included in the hotel booking but included different items not seen before, the Cauliflower Bites were amazing, all food was presented so nicely. Server Rihanna was lovely and the manager went out of his way to find a Blush Rose wine not on the menu that was gorgeous and not the cost of Whispering Angel, check out 'Hippy'. Only suggestion I would give is to add some other items off the A La Carte menu with a Supplement, its was there was no Burger but it is on the Main Menu. This did NOT disappoint, would definitely go back.More infoNapier’s Kitchen & Bar££££• International• Oxford•4.1

- TTomLondon •8 reviews4.0Dined on Feb 23, 2026Broadly I found the food I sampled - two courses (fish starter and meat main) - to be in alignment with the thrust of previous reviews, and to be in very good order. Portions were generous, including the bread given as an adjunct to one's core order. The chosen accompanying wines also went down very well, from a decent list (they only had 1 dessert offering but this was at least a moreish Monbazillac, which subbed for a real dessert pretty well). The service was superb, although perhaps I should qualify this with an expectation that it really should've been, given my visit was on a Monday evening in late February and for a good 3/4 of my time in the restaurant, there were literally no other customers besides me! I do hope this reflected the time of year etc more than the perceived or experienced qualities of the establishment. As far as I could tell, I am confident that was likely the case. Once a few additional punters did arrive - quite late on, possibly post-University commitments in most cases - the atmosphere livened up and it felt a little less isolated! I felt some were likely regulars with their own tables. The ambience as directed by the design and decor though was excellent even when I was alone in the place - I even sent a pic of it to a friend with the caption "this is how I'd like my front room done"! It is very trad, classic, in keeping with the delightful building, with no unpleasant minimalism or stark modern intrusions - that is how I like things anyway - and felt very comfortable.More infoRestaurant 66A££££• Modern European• Oxford•4.1
