Our first trip to Ivy Cambridge and we weren’t disappointed. We arrived early and welcomed by a lovely host who showed us straight to our table, I had requested a quiet corner and that’s exactly what we got. The staff were attentive, well attired, friendly and professional, the food ( we opted for the ‘Cool Brittania’ menu ) was devine, an excellent drinks list and beautiful glassware ! The seating was very comfortable as was the temperature and it was lovely and quiet with soft background music. The washrooms were clean and the restaurant looked spotless. 5 stars, a fabulous experience that topped off our day out in Cambridge !

The best pizza I've ever had! 4 of us ate here last Friday night and we all agreed that the food, setting up and ambiance is by fair the best around. They offer pizza or fish and chips in the evening, 2 of us had pizza and 2 fish and chips and they were all delicious. The advertising and marketing of this place seems pretty non-existent hence it wasn't very busy when we went but don't let this put you off as the food is excellent and very reasonably prices considering the set- up and quality. Highly recommend especially the autumnal pizza which is made with a pumpkin cream rather than tomato sauce base and it is exceptional

Our long awaited visit to Midsummer House did not disappoint. Outstanding food, great service, excellent wine pairings. Need to return in summer to enjoy the location as it was dark and I’m sure the surroundings would be a joy to see. Thank you all for making our visit memorable.

We visited The Ivy in St Albans on Saturday night for the first time together, after my partner recommended it, and it certainly did not disappoint! We shared two starters, and both were absolutely gorgeous. I then had the fish cakes for my main, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We were both feeling full by dessert, but after spotting someone else’s and deciding it looked too tempting, we shared one, and we were so glad we did! The staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful and really knowledgeable when it came to recommending wines. Our waitress mentioned she had only been there a week, but you would never have known from how knowledgeable and attentive she was. The whole experience was fantastic. The food, service and atmosphere were all lovely, and we were pleasantly surprised by the bill. I expected it to be considerably more, so it was definitely great value for money. Even though we were almost the last people there before closing, we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. That really made the evening feel relaxed and special. We had such a lovely time and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

    Another wonderful meal here and good value with the 3 course Sunday menu. My only negative would be that it was very quiet and the service was a bit slow which didn't make sense. Lovely food and a really good venue that we'll be using more.
