Excellent overall experience. Service exceptional Menu varied and food was cooked to perfection

We had an excellent evening meal at the Old Pheasant in late October. The barman/waiter was cheerful and efficient. The pork belly was very tasty, and the venison pie was particularly good. Sticky toffee sundae afterwards was massive and delicious.

Lovely evening. We chose the offer of the day which was pie with a choice of chips or mash. Pie was gorgeous and a proper short crust one too! Exceptional value along with great service. Already booked for next week!

A Wonderful Sunday Lunch Experience. Myself and Son had the strip loin Beef and was cooked to perfection. My husband opted for the half roast chicken which was so delicious he said. All came with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes, large Yorkshire pudding and delicious gravy. My only criticism is a little more vegetables, roasts and gravy. Staff very attentive and such a beautiful place. The outside area is so lovely especially if you have small children they are in for a treat. They have swings, climbing frame, a large connect four game and archery board with felt darts. Plenty of seating so you can keep your eyes on your little ones while enjoying a lovely afternoon. We will definitely be returning very soon and even booked for our whole family to have Christmas Lunch here so everyone is looking forward for that. Thank you for a lovely experience. Had a wonderful family dinner here recently. The food was genuinely delicious, though the kitchen seemed to be under a bit of pressure, resulting in a noticeably longer wait than expected. The front-of-house staff were also stretched thin, but when the cooking is this good, it’s easy to see why the place gets so busy. Great effort by the whole team under the circumstances—we will definitely be back
