We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca.     We came here as a family for evening meal. The food was very good with home made chicken pie, burger, fish and chips, and children's nuggets ordered. We had time constraints and asked the staff if desserts could get through the kitchen in time and they went and made them especially so we had time to enjoy. Excellent service all the way through with lovely clean premises and toilets (although the ladies could do with a bit of refurbishment). Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

    So good to see this pub reopened after a sudden closure in September 24. It was a lovely sunny day so the garden was crowded. Inside busy too but service was efficient and staff friendly and helpful. Used by locals boaters and canal walkers - a gem on the side of the canal
