Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Aeropuerto / Iztapalapa / Neza

I was able to get a reservation for a late lunch while visiting Mexico City and everything lived up to the reputation. I didn't have time for the tasting menu so I opted to go ala carte. I got the scallop aguachile, the oxtail ragu tagliatelle, the cheeseburger, and the flan. Service was impeccable and, although I was a solo diner, they made me feel like a king. Every dish was gorgeous and delicious. Very well worth the price. I'm not even sure Save By The Bell's The Max could compare.

The food was spectacular, the atmosphere inviting, and the entire experience exceptional. What truly made the afternoon memorable, however, was our waiter. He went well beyond providing excellent service. He took a genuine interest in our visit, asked about the restaurants we'd enjoyed, shared thoughtful recommendations, and engaged us in wonderful conversation about the city. His warmth, enthusiasm, and hospitality made us feel less like tourists and more like welcomed friends. Great food brings you to a restaurant, but exceptional people make you remember it. Meroma delivered both beautifully. What a perfect ending to our first visit to this extraordinary city. We left with wonderful memories and one more reason to return. Bravo, Meroma!
