A new generation of Italian cuisine - fresh, light and authentic. By using proper cooking techniques, our flavors are natural and pure. Our menu is a homage to our region Calabria and southern Italian roots reflecting what is being served in Italy today. You can also find an extensive vegan menu that incorporates many of the best Italian dishes. We have been the first restaurant in the USA to have a full Italian Vegan menu since 2015! We believe in sustainability, both in our food and in the design of our restaurant. While our menu focuses on locally grown and seasonal ingredients, our bar and dining areas were created using reclaimed, natural materials. Nothing goes to waste at Civico 1845!

WELCOME TO CLOAK & PETAL!Where we invite you to journey into a place of both intimacy and companionshipOur concept is drawn from our name. The word “cloak” implies secrecy, inspiring our concept of a social sphere humming beneath the levels of ordinary life. “Petal” alludes to the Japanese tradition of “hanami,” when family and friends gather under blooming cherry blossoms to savor food, drinks and fellowship.Enter our space and travel underground to décor reminiscent of an abandoned Tokyo subway, a stratum of society all its own, an artist’s dream. Cross the threshold into a mystically transformed Japanese social dining lounge which appears to be an outdoor seating area, similar to a waiting platform. Sit beneath a trellis of draping vines and teardrop lights in the intimate space we’ve thoughtfully created, and feast on authentic Japanese sushi, appetizers, small plates and drinks with family and friends.Journey down to Cloak + Petal… and come unwind your soul.

Equal parts evil lair and Victorian cocktail salon, KINDRED has transfixed and beguiled all who step into its portal, with whimsical eccentricity, world class vegan dishes, and ambitiously inventive cocktails.Since opening its doors in late 2015 in the enchanting neighborhood of South Park, San Diego, KINDRED has garnered recognition which transcends its plant-based credo, heralded as one of the city's premier dining institutions. It has been named EATER San Diego's and San Diego Magazine's Restaurant Of The Year, topped Zagat San Diego's Most Important Restaurant Openings, and earned an Orchid Award for interior design from the San Diego Architectural Foundation. KINDRED was also named within the Food Network's list of the best vegan restaurants in the country, was voted the Best Vegan Bar in the U.S. by VegNews magazine, and received regional honors from the Tales Of The Cocktail Foundation for Best Restaurant Bar in the West.

Morning Glory is a garden of eggy delights. We primarily only accept walk ins at Morning Glory. Once the restaurant is full, we use a waitlist through OpenTable which notifies you via text message when your table is available. You must be physically present to get on that waitlist. With strong support from soufflé seekers, that wait can be lengthy, especially on the weekends. We have opened up a handful of reservations for our last seating of weekend brunch services to offer an alternative to the waitlist and guarantee a spot for the few who are seeking to join us later in the day. These spots are coveted and can be booked up to 30 days in advance for Saturday and Sundays only from 2:45pm-3:15pm.

Barbusa is my all time favorite restaurant in Little Italy. Their serves feel like they are family. They are kind, caring and they never fail to make the best recommendations as far as food and cocktails. We often celebrate milestones, birthdays and anniversaries. Thank you to The team!

My friends and I went for Happy Hour on a Monday and loved the options for both food and drink. It was fairly empty when we arrived at 4:30 but by 7pm when we left, it was hopping. A great place for a work happy hour or a lovely Monday out, especially with so many places closed on Mondays. We got a few rolls, edamame, the hamachi tacos but our favorite were the bao buns. Hot and delicious!

Calling all vegans and non-vegans alike! If you are looking for a place with bomb comfort food and drinks then Kindred is a must go to! I used to live in San Diego and this was my favorite place to eat so every time I come back I always go there at least a couple of times! The ambience is amazing the food is seriously delish and the cocktails ... I mean it's a ten out of ten for me! Even my non-vegan friends will happily join me there! Just go there, you will not be disappointed!
