Best Vegan Restaurants in Old Orchard Beach

Great experience at Magissa last night. We ordered a mezze plate with excellent tzatziki, skordalia and horiatiki, served with fluffy pita, the lamb and pork ragu and the special -red lentil and crispy mushroom stuffed eggplant. I will be trying to make the latter at home and probably won’t be able to replicate. It’s the best use of that humble vegetable I’ve ever had. Service was friendly and attentive, the decor is simple and sophisticated, and the vibe is relaxed. We had the baklava for dessert and it was delicious- plenty of nuts and not dripping with syrup, so the phyllo was crispy. Coffee is served in a French press, with imaginative coffee cups. Think NYC take out coffee cups. Prices are reasonable, the wine and beer list is well curated and the staff is very welcoming. This place is a winner!

The food and margaritas were SO GOOD! I got the bean/sweet potato taquitos and one fried plantain taco and they weren’t greasy at all, perfectly cooked and crunchy! Definitely will go back.

It was our 1st time for the four of us at the Burleigh and we loved everything about it . The four of us split the meatballs and mussels for our starters and they were great . The hand held and entrees were also great . I got the quesadillas with chicken and my wife got the salmon dish which was also great . Our waitress Kayla was phenomenal as was the rest of the staff that was involved with our dining experience. We will definitely recommend and also go back .
