Best Historic Restaurants in Okotoks

Three of us met here mid-week for lunch and conversation. It was a great choice as usual. We shared three selections: moules et frites, beet-root salad, and burrata cheese plate. It was an excellent sharing combination. We shared the Fruit Pavlova and the Lavender Lime Posset for dessert. Dishes were all tasty, flavorful, interesting, and attractive. Service was friendly and attentive. There were not too many other guests. Tables are well-spaced and conversation is easy. Beautiful historic venue both inside and outside. Very memorable introduction for our guest who had not dined here before. BVR is one of our favorite Calgary dining venues.

I invited my Family from out of town (5 persons) to enjoy a Birthday celebration. From the moment we entered the Restaurant we were greeted with a smile. The waiter was very attentive to our needs from wine selection to the complete meal. The food was absolutely excellent & I cannot stress that enough. The whole evening experience was what I had read & expected, we could hear each other during our conversations. If you looking for ambience, excellent food & or a special occasion, Heartland Cafe & Restaurant will more than meet your needs. Art Hine

We were thrilled to find this coffee/bake shop on our stay in Okotoks for a sports event. The coffees are perfect. We hadn't decided where we would go for dinner that Sunday, but to our surprise we saw a poster in the shop advertising the Togetherings dinner for that eve. To our delight there had been a cancellation and there were 2 seats available! We met lovely local people that added to our experience. 4 out of 5 for the food, as I needed to add salt to everything. 4 out of 5 on the value, as we found the wine and Americanos that we ordered with our meal to be on the pricey side. Your ideas.of the Togetherings dinners has inspired me with your desire for bringing Community together. EVERYTHING was truly outstanding. Absolutely loved the quaint setting, right down to the location on Elma street. Oh my gosh, I'm looking for any reason to go to Okotoks now so I can visit French 50 Bakery!!
