Lovely lunch with great cocktails and delicious food I had the beef bourginon, which was tender and very flavorful. My husband had the Irish steak, cooked to perfection and very tender as well. The street that this restaurant is lively, with many restaurants, chocolate shops, fruit stands and bakeries. Great place to enjoy a fantastic meal, and people watch.

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Each dish was perfectly executed, from the flame-kissed greens with the deepest flavor, to the juicy smoky Kai Satay, and the deliciously layered massaman curry. Don’t sleep on the pandan cake for dessert, it’s addictive.

Lucien is a family-run Tunisian restaurant in Paris 11th, at 40 rue des Boulets, between Nation and Rue des Boulets metro station. My grandparents came from Tunis in 1967 and settled in this neighbourhood. We cook the Tunisia they used to tell us about, Berber, Arab, Jewish, Italian, a little French: brik, slata mechouia, shakshuka, vegetable couscous (our best-seller), grilled parguit, catch of the day and Tunisian sandwiches. Tuesday is fish couscous day. Every week a traditional dish comes back with the season, mloukhia, pkaila or kefteji. Same menu at lunch and dinner, eat in, takeaway or by reservation. There are six of us, in the dining room and in the kitchen.
