    Best restaurant in Carmel. Not cheap but for a 1 star Michelin its pretty fair. Very busy but everything was like clockwork and the different dishes were perfect. Wife had the quail and I had the salmon with perfectly crispy skin. The tortoloni which is not optional "because it's so good everyone has to have it" is that good. Monique runs the front of the house and she couldn't be nicer. Rest of the service also very good. Nice bar to boot. Definitely want to try the other dishes.

    This was by far one of our best Carmel dining experiences. The ambience and music were relaxing and upbeat. The service was top notch! We each ordered a salad. Fresh and full portions. Could easily be shareable but we were hungry and polished them off lol. I had the cannelloni. Amazing flavor and full of meat with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. My husband ordered the linguini and loved it. We finished with a warm tart with ice cream. We will definitely be back.

    We went here to celebrate my mother’s 83rd birthday! Cindy was our server and she was REMARKABLE! The professionalism, kindness and attention to detail was unmatched! She had a full understanding of the menu, expert knowledge of the cocktail menu. When you go out to eat you want real service, Cindy and Justin were excellent at taking care of our group of 6! The seafood was cooked perfectly, service size was ample. We all Raved about the service and the importance of excellence at a restaurant! Cindy, Justin and their team were wonderful!! We will be back you made my mother’s birthday lunch a truly special experience! Thank you again!

    Great venue, delicious Italian cuisine, quick, courteous and professional services, from the hostess checking us in to our great server, Ramon. Must try the lasagna, one of the dishes we enjoyed. Best Italian Cuisine in town!! Grazie mille to all the Il Fornaio staff and chief.
