Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. We're also more than happy to accommodate business dinners or other special occasions in private rooms.

    Our first visit to the new Fairfax location and we could not be happier to give a 5 Star review! The food was fantastic, the look and ambiance completely on brand- service was good and will only improve as servers gain more experience. Everything you love about Ruthie’s Arlington- matched to a tee in Fairfax. And the added perk, plenty of parking!

    The food was excellent. Service was excellent. The server took the time to make sure that one of our family members could enjoy her meal despite life-threatening allergies. He made sure to take notes and ensure that her food was cooked separately to avoid any cross-contamination with allergens. We will be back!

    I came to Hamrock’s for my birthday with a group of 7 (it was kind of a joint birthday with my friend and I), and we had a really good experience. I made a reservation ahead of time, and they were really accommodating with people arriving later and with our dietary restrictions, and helped us choose what to order. The servers were really friendly and all the staff was really kind. They even gave us cake on the house for our birthday, which was really nice. The vibe of the restaurant was great and the food was amazing. I’d definitely recommend!
