Had delicious and thoroughly enjoyable meal in The Jefferson Room @The Homestead. Neville, our server, could not have been more attentive or pleasant. Made our Anniversary celebration that much more special. Shrimp and grits were scrumptious. Wedge salad yummy, especially the bacon, but literally large enough for 4 people. Plenty of lobster in my husband’s cavatelli and he enjoyed the filet with “great” peppercorn sauce. All in all a delightful and delicious evening.

The salmon was crispy outside yet perfectly moist inside. My husband was so impressed with the she crab soup. Our waitress anticipated our every need! Definitely recommend!

We had dinner on May 3rd and it was memorable. Tha piano played great tunes and the staff treated us very well. It was a memorable treat and would definitely repeat.

We thoroughly enjoyed a pre-birthday dinner at the Tavern last night. We went early so it was very quiet - perfect for us. We were seated on the indoor porch which was lovely in the late afternoon sun, and nicely warm on a cold afternoon. We enjoyed a starter of Frito Misto (long time favorite). It arrived quickly and piping hot along with a delicious remoulade sauce. For entrees we ordered the Faroe Island Salmon - perfect crispy skin - with fluffy mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Also Lemon Butter Scallops with Risotto and Balsamic Glaze - delicious! We enjoyed a lovely Rose Cava with was just right with the seafood. Our server was great - everything arrived quickly and we were asked several times if we needed anything. I should not overlook their bread service that is always a treat - it arrives warm with a little dish of honey butter. And it's in a little paper bag - so if you don't finish it - take it home for breakfast. It's always a treat to visit the Tavern when in Bath County.
