    Not only is Mount Vernon a magnificent place to visit, but the restaurant there is wonderful. I have lived in the Washington DC area for 55 years and gone to hundreds of restaurants in that time. Here they make the best filet mignon that I have had anywhere. And you would think it wouldn't be difficult to make hericot vert. I have been presented with that 100 times in restaurants and half the time it's either too soggy, tasteless, or barely even cooked properly. Here it melts in your mouth. The prices are reasonable, wine prices are reasonable as well, and the service is great. I would like to go once a week if I lived closer. My dinner companions loved every bit of their food as well. Everybody had a different entree.
