Located in Portland's Old Port District, Fore Street opened in June, 1996. The interior surrounds a unique brick and soapstone hearth with a wood-burning oven, grill and turnspit; visible from most tables. We believe that good food travels the shortest possible distance between the farm and the table. Our menu changes every day and is founded upon the very best raw materials from a community of Maine farmers, fisherman, foragers and cheese makers. Most of the Maine foods are organically grown or harvested wild, each brought to us at the peak of its season. In 2002 and again in 2007, Fore Street was named by Gourmet Magazine as one of the Top Fifty Restaurants in the United States. In 2004, Chef-Partner Sam Hayward was named Best Chef: Northeast by the James Beard Foundation.

Street and Co. is a Mediterranean, bistro style, all-seafood restaurant with a dynamic atmosphere and 35 years of experience, located right in the heart of the Old Port. Our chefs focus on serving the freshest seafood and the best ingredients available from local purveyors, fishermen and organic farmers. They prepare a simple yet creative menu that highlights the ingredients. Our personalized wine list truly complements the cuisine and we offer a classic full bar. We serve our full menu at the bar itself and feature a raw bar with a variety of local oysters. The bar is available to book the majority of the year but only available thru walk in for July/August. A couple notes about the Taverna-We stop taking day of reservations after 4pm. Please call the restaurant after 4pm.We do not accept parties of 4 people or more. We are a small restaurant with only 22 seats and cannot accommodate larger parties. Established in April of 2015, The Taverna serves authentic Greek fare while remaining true to our Greek roots. Our menu highlights what is available to us locally and seasonally. Our wine list is one of the largest all Greek wine lists in the United States which features natural, orange and organic wines.     We have eaten at Scales numerous times when we have visited our daughter at college. This time, as all the others, the food was excellent, the service friendly and efficient, the ambiance relaxing and pleasing with the harbor view. We had marvelous corn muffins and fried octopus appetizers -yum. I chose Halibut with pecans! Also came with potatoes and got broccolini w bacon on the side; So delicious. The carrot cake for dessert was the perfect ender to share. And it wasn’t too sweet. Of course the meal wasn’t cheap, note that vegetables are generally an extra side. But we knew this going in.

    An amazing Irish Bistro at the heart of Yarmouth's downtown. Four of us dined for the first time and we couldn't stop raving about the incredible food, ambiance, and warm service. A perfect spot for a quick drink, a celebratory meal, or a cozy date night. Can't wait to go back soon!

    We were so incredibly blessed to celebrate my husband’s birthday at Pomelia this week. From start to finish, the experience was truly exceptional. I had to change our reservation last minute, and they were so gracious and accommodating. It was our first time there, and they treated us like royalty the entire evening. The staff went above and beyond in the most thoughtful ways — they brought out a special appetizer from the chef, our waitress was unbelievably kind and hospitable, and she even hand-signed a birthday card for my husband (shoutout to Marybeth, you are the best.) At the end of dinner, they surprised him with a cannoli and candle to celebrate. We also had our boys with us, and they both received a little Lego packet to help entertain them during dinner, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was INCREDIBLE, but honestly, it’s the service and genuine hospitality that will keep us coming back. You just don’t experience this level of kindness very often anymore. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday feel so special and memorable!
