I was treated to a fantastic Mother's Day brunch at Basta by my family. We were a party of five and we had amazing seating, the most fantastic server, who was just amazing. We never waited a minute for anything and our drinks were refilled promptly although the place was packed. I actually had two different entrees: eggs Benedict and the filet and eggs. The Hollandaise was delicious and the filet was divine. My husband had the challah French toast, which was sooo yummy ( I tried it) and everyone else loved their food as well. They do an outstandingly delicious butter cake, just melts in your mouth! I can't say enough good things about Basta, my husband and I have been for the night of a thousand roses on Valentine's and my son took a date one year, too. It is always top-notch: every meal, every time. The service is beyond compare. Basta should keep their servers close and treat them well (I'm sure they do, just saying!), as smart restauranteurs will snap them up, they are the crown jewel among this establishment's many fine qualities. We keep coming back to our place in the Village, year after year!

This is a wonderful restaurant. It’s a perfect place to meet up with friends for lunch or dinner. Convenient location! Valet parking and excellent food. Lunch is a special treat.
