The 1839 Trustees’ Office was built by the Shakers as a place to warmly welcome and conduct business with the people of “the world.” Shaker Village has continued this tradition of kind service since Elizabeth Kremer oversaw the opening of The Trustees’ Table in 1968. Much has changed since our nonprofit first formed in the 1960s, but there has been one constant: good food served with gracious hospitality that will never go out of style. Executive Chef Amber Hokams and Farm Manager HP Lovelace partner to bring the freshest food to our guests every season. Local produce, grown in the soil of the Bluegrass, is the foundation of our menu. “Making you kindly welcome” in the Shaker tradition is the foundation of our service.We invite you to pull up a chair at our table to enjoy signature dishes like Mrs. Kramer's Fried Chicken, Shaker Lemon Pie and locally raised beef.     I’m from Buffalo NY and visiting with my son and daughter in law who reside in Lexington. This is not our first visit and surely won’t be our last. This place is incredible. Beautiful ambiance, incredible drinks, amazing food and great and I mean great service! The amazing thing is that everything is so consistent. I mean everything! My family is here a lot and me, well I only get to visit two or three times a year but I look forward to each and every visit. We would recommend this establishment to everyone and anyone and again we will return. Well done Carson’s.

    It is the best having lunch or any meal at the Trustees Table. Lisa the manager is always welcoming, extra personable and always cheerful and checking on us. Her staff are well trained and make our experience the best. We feel like we are the most important people in the room. Thank you for a job well done.
