Restaurants near University of York

Found this Italian by chance and glad I did. The food was lovely and great value - they do a set two or three course menu with plenty of choices. All the staff were helpful and happy to help with any questions. Would def recommend this place if you are in York and would recommend booking as it was busy with people coming and going all the time. Also I loved the way the staff clearly pointed out the service charge and said we didn’t have to pay if we didn’t feel we should (we did pay as service was great!)

The starter of scallops and prawns was the best I have ever had. The ambience was lovely even though it was quiet. The Xmas tree and lighting made it cosy and welcoming. Everything looked immaculately clean, bright and luxurious. My mum is 86 and this is her third visit this year. She only wants to come here now if eating out. As I always am with her, that suits me fine.

Enjoyed two courses from the Market Menu which were excellent and great value.

Great time here on a Tuesday evening. All food delicious and presented so well. Staff very attentive and welcoming. Expectations were high on booking this given the reviews but I am pleased that these were exceeded.

Excellent service. Menu covers all tastes and close attention to allergies. Food very good /fish and chips and pies. Would recommend
