Gainsborough Restaurants

I was bought an afternoon tea for two voucher for Doddington Hall for my birthday. I knew they had a separate room for afternoon tea, but as I'd never been, I did not know what to expect. It was a delightful surprise, therefore, to find myself in an exquisite room, overlooking a private walled garden - the ambiance was perfect. The food and service were equally excellent, too. My friend and I ordered one savoury afternoon tea and one traditional, then shared. We both agreed that this had been a superb plan, and there were still plenty morsels to be packed up to enjoy at home later. We ventured out and sampled different teas too, which were delicious. The tables were far enough apart to afford privacy - I hate it when establishments pack in as many people as they can. All in all, a truely excellent experience! I cannot recommend highly enough, and hope to be lucky enough to visit again in the not too distant future. Well done, Doddington Hall!

Food was fantastic. Restaurant was very busy on a Monday night. Staff extremely efficient and friendly. Overall a wonderful experience.

I've never had a mediocre meal at The Grainstore. The food has always been delicious, whatever I've had. It's a great place to take friends and visitors; the food and service is reliably excellent.
