- SStevenFresno / San Joaquin Valley •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe ordered one special - shrimp with linguine pasta and a longtime favorite, the short rib with mashed potatoes. We also love their macaroni and cheese and their Brussels sprouts appetizer. Everything was prepared perfectly, our server was perfect, we had an excellent visit. We go fairly frequently and this visit exceeded even our normally very high expectations. Not many restaurants in Fresno are this good, consistently.More infoMax's Bistro & Bar$$$$• Bistro• Fresno•4.8

- MMichelleHouston •8 reviews4.0Dined on Jun 3, 2026Enjoyed our dinner at Peaks after a long day of hiking. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and hubby had the pork chop. Both were tasty! Was a nice dining experience, good food and good service. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time.More infoThe Peaks at Wuksachi Lodge$$$$• American• Red Fair•4.4

- MMargieSacramento / Sacramento Valley •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 26, 2025We were greeted with great smiles as soon as we walked in the establishment with everyone saying Merry Christmas and how has our day been. Our server had a bubbly personality and was she had the patience to deal with us making decisions from the menu. She was very attentive with getting us refills and containers for leftovers to take home. I wish I remembered her name because we were talking about family visiting for Christmas Day and she said she’s working on a holiday because she could use the money. I don’t want to be rude about age but, I think she may have been in her early 50’s and pretty. She said her family were getting together this Saturday to open gifts.More infoRed Lobster - Visalia$$$$• Seafood• Visalia•4.2
Discover Visalia
One of California's oldest communities outside of San Francisco and Los Angeles, Visalia's lifestyle reflects its agricultural heritage as well as its status as a quiet little beach town. Traditional Italian baked pasta, spaghetti and pizza can be found along with lighter contemporary specialties, including gluten-free pasta and pizza. Italian establishments are plentiful, ranging from casual, family-owned lunch counters to formal dining establishments complete with leather booths and candle-lit tables. Downtown, try traditional American cafes with early-bird dinner specials, or sample more global cuisines like Thai and Japanese. Pubs with pizza, burgers and beer please hungry appetites along with Danish- and European-inspired chalets that serve sausages with eggs and potatoes for breakfast and spaetzle with butter for dinner.
