As always, the food and environment were wonderful. We brought guests and they loved it too. Pure comfort food in a warm and welcoming environment with attentive but not overbearing service.

I chose Hayward in Carlton for a birthday dinner, and it was an unforgettable experience. What makes this restaurant so special is how it evolves with the seasons. Right now, as spring melts into summer, we got to enjoy the first cucumbers of the season, along with dishes that just keep me coming back. Somehow, the focaccia gets even better every time I have it! A few standouts included a blue corn tostada ceviche and a dish that left us talking long after. Hayward is truly a destination, and each visit feels like a new chapter.

We had a wonderful dinner. Service was professional and excellent.

Fabulous classic French cuisine. The morel mushroom sauce was to die for - rich and full of flavor. The root vegetable “salad” was deftly prepared with each vegetable keeping its own unique flavor. The pork chop was cooked properly and we had both of the offered sauces a sweeter sauce and a savory sauce with both tasty variations to be enjoyed. The staff were just right too - there when you need them and not otherwise. The restaurant has a cozy traditional vibe - not concrete and live edge lumber. We are headed back there soon.
