Compliments to the Chef! Some new menu items that we especially enjoyed were the delicata squash and the hazelnut soufflé. The C&C burger is always one of the best burgers in town. Our server, Zach, was simply wonderful in every way. The patio i dining experience, beautiful and relaxing. One boisterous guest with colorful language was unwanted entertainment, but hey… we laughed and tuned it out.

If we could give this place a zero or minus 10 stars for poor service, terrible food and a bad attitude from a manager who instead of being helpful was passive aggressive and antagonistic. This was for my birthday. As a result we wont be back and my client who has a corporate account will not be booking their company's annual conference there in February.

A bit overpriced for what you get. Seriously, $14 for a small loaf of sourdough bread? We split the salt crusted sea bass. It was fine, but if I’m honest I genuinely enjoy going to California Fish Grill more. Also, the sea bass at C&C had bites where it seemed like I just ate a spoonful of salt.

Our server was very kind and attentive. We particularly enjoyed the potato leek amuse bouche, beet salad, hamachi crudo and tuna tartare. Wonderful presentation, thank you!

We were given a table on a very beautiful patio, so the ambiance was lovely. The service was a little spotty - we ordered bread first thing, but it came out maybe only 10 minutes before the rest of our food, after a decent wait. We also had to ask a few times about vegan modifications to a few dishes, and we all had to redistribute dishes, since none of them were given to the right people. None of these things were huge, but they were cumulative. The halibut was overcooked, but overall the food was very good (not amazing, but very good). The scallops and wagyu steak were standouts.

The experience was marred by a distinct lack of staff. For the amount of diners the amount of wait staff was woefully small. Initial drinks were ordered when we were seated, the wine showed up over 10 min later and the cocktail took over a half hour. The initial appetizers took longer than they should (I stopped timing things and settled in at that point). We finished the appetizers and the empty table sat for quite some time before the meal finally arrived. We watched as other diners left and we waited and waited. Luckily we were celebrating our anniversary and had nowhere to be, but I have never waited so long and seen so few service visits at a table.

We have eaten dinner here before and it was fabulous. Not sure what happened this night, but our meal was significantly delayed after ordering. About an hour later for the appetizer and longer for the entree after ordering. We had to flag someone down for another glass of wine. I’m wondering if staffing is reduced?

Coin & Candor remains one of my favorite eateries. Staff are all amazing and we are always greeted warmly and ushered to our favorite table. The food is flavorful and the drinks are perfect. C&C remains at the top of our list of venues for our wedding when it finally happens. Low rating is due to the portions have decreased to such an extent and have increased in price that although we can certainly afford the bill, it is not the value we have enjoyed for more that 7 years. Here are some examples: 1. The Wagyu burger was not too much of a surprise at $50. However, the burger-patty I expected should have been of an adequate thickness, but what I was served was the thickness of a bacon strip (I am being a little hyperbolic, but you get the idea). Here is how it was described: "SNAKE RIVER WAGYU TRUFFLE BURGER 6oz. American Wagyu Blend, Caramelized Red Onion Jam, Tableside "truffle cheese pour", black truffle aioli, brioche bun, truffle fries". 2. A Cosmo with Belvedere vodka is now $27! That's up quite a bit from 2 weeks ago. Casalena, Flemings, Larsons (as an example) are about $20. I'm glad we did not order the Old Fashion with 12-year Whistlepig. 3. The deserts were inordinately overpriced at $18 and $20 respectively. The round pumpkin souffle was roughly 2.25" in size and 1.5" in height. The "10" layer chocolate cake was cut so slender that it was difficult to gauge but seemed to be about 1/4" thick, 2" wide, and 4" in length. Here is how they were described: - 10-LAYER CHOCOLATE CAKE Dandelion Kokoa Kamili Tanzani 70% Chocolate Cremeux, Salted Caramel Pretzel Ice Cream - PUMPKIN SPICE SOUFFLE Raisin Coulis, Ginger Ice Cream I just think C&C has become accustomed to having travelers pay exorbitant prices that saving costs by reducing portions would not be noticed by them. Also they lost 360-degree focus on neighborhood who they will need to maintain repeat business but will lose due to this latest practice. A huge THANK YOU for the new dog policy!!!
