About this restaurant

  • Great for creative cocktails
  • Great for happy hour
We offer a unique take on Italian American food. It all started with CJ's grandmother Domenica, carried on by DeMarco's Restaurant & Bar for 35 years, and now reemerging as Santino's Tap & Table. We try to infuse the creativity, energy, and service of a Center City restaurant in an approachable South Philly neighborhood style and atmosphere. We’re just trying NOT to be like everyone else. Oh, and It’s Gravy not Sauce.

Our server was very attentive—thank you! The spicy rigatoni was really good, cheesesteak egg rolls and Italian wedding risotto were okay and the chicken Milanese salad was very good. Being near WCU, it was more of a college bar so the prices seemed a bit on the higher side but overall I’d recommend the place to others.

Our experienced was decidedly mixed. Food was delicious and our server was fantastic. Unfortunately it was the Pub Crawl for WCU graduating seniors so the noise level was basically unbearable. It is a bar in a college town though so it is what it is. We would probably only go back during summer break to avoid a recurrence.

Decent place. Food's OK. Little pricey for the quality, but OK. To me this, is more a bar that serves restaurant food than a restaurant that has a bar. I tend to go here when I am arranging a large group because they tend to have openings. Overall, it's good, not great, but not bad either. Our servers are always nice and that counts.

We made reservations to watch the Eagles Game with friends of ours. There were plenty of TV’s and the atmosphere was electric. Our waitress was amazing very attentive. We had several appetizers and pizzas to share all were well worth it. Our out of town friends are looking forward to returning

Our server was great! We had a large party and she was very attentive and very patient with us. The short rib grilled cheese was fantastic. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. It’s a sports bar vibe with a unique menu that offers a variety of items! Great prices and excellent portions. We also enjoyed the Pecan Brownie for dessert!

Yes, but it’s more of a casual, lively date-night spot than a quiet, romantic dinner. Guests describe a sports-bar vibe with lots of TVs and energetic crowds on game days, which makes it great for a fun, informal date where you want great pizza, pasta, and shareable apps. For a quieter, more intimate evening consider an early weekday seating; for a playful, social night go on a weekend or during a game.

Usually no, guests say it’s “always easy to get a table” and that the restaurant often has openings for large groups. That said, it fills up and becomes lively during Eagles games and big events, so expect crowds then and consider arriving early or reserving if possible.

If you want game-day energy and a crowd, go on weekends or when the Eagles are playing (Sundays are popular). If you prefer a quieter experience, a weekday evening, especially Monday–Thursday after the 4pm opening, will be calmer.

Casual, energetic, and sports-focused, with a friendly, family-run feel. Guests describe a sports-bar vibe with lots of TVs (popular for Eagles games), fast and attentive service, and an upbeat crowd. It blends South Philly neighborhood energy with creative Italian-American food.
