Porterhouse food consistently great! Had 3 course lunch menu ~ beetroot starter confit duck main and lemon sponge and custard ~ all well cooked and lovely ~ duck was standout course As always Fran and her staff were excellent ~ always make you feel welcome and very special ~ lovely experience eating here

We had a brilliant visit to The Wensleydale Heifer. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and everything cooked really well. We also enjoyed a couple of excellent pints which topped the evening off nicely. A big plus for us was having a dog-friendly area, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was welcoming throughout and overall it was an easy 5/5. We’d happily return.

Third time at this restaurant I would highly recommend it

I enjoyed my stay this week, I was travelling alone through work and the staff made me feel very welcome. The service was very prompt and the food lovely. I liked the atmosphere in the eating area although it may not be to everyone’s taste, it was bright and busy with people having meals.
