From the exquisite food and beautiful presentation to the elegant atmosphere and impeccable service, every detail reflects a commitment to excellence. The quality of the cuisine, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality make this restaurant stand out. It is rare to find a place where everything comes together so beautifully. A truly memorable experience, and I would highly recommend Yakiya to anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience.Thank You will be back soon 😋More infoYakiya - Pasadena$$$$• Japanese• Pasadena•4.5

- CCCrystalCLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined on Oct 21, 2026It was very cool to see tuna cutting for the first time. We got lucky and won the raffle to the kamatoro cut, and it was no doubt the highlight of our meal. The cut was tender, juicy and buttery and worth every dollar. We also ordered tuna sashimi and sushi, which were fresh but the quality of the fish was less stellar. It was heavy on the akami and not much toro, and certain cuts were stringy and harder to chew. Overall this was a very unique experience, and I very much appreciate Shinsengumi for bringing cultural events like this to our neighborhood. I will definitely return for future events.More infoShin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya - Alhambra$$$$• Japanese• Alhambra•4.7
- EEvaLos Angeles •25 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 12, 2026If you've been to Akami before, you'll love the newest location. Taking over the space formerly known as Otto Otto, it's much bigger than the Live Oak location and features a much expanded menu, including skewers and ramen. The ambiance is nice enough for a special occasion. During their soft opening, they did not have their liquor license yet so enjoy soft drinks or hot tea in the meantime. The food is the same high quality you've come to expect. Welcome and I wish them much success in this new location.More infoAkami izakaya & sushi$$$$• Japanese• Monrovia•4.8
- FFernNew York City •16 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 7, 2026We ordered baked scallop roll, yellowtail collar, mixed tempura, deluxe sushi, and uni pasta. Everything was delicious - especially the baked scallop roll and yellowtail collar. Service was good. Small restaurant so seating is limited, and noise level moderate. Parking lot very small and street parking is filled up quicklyMore infoAkami Sushi - Arcadia$$$$• Japanese• Arcadia•4.7
