Best Restaurants for Foodies in Harrisburg, Philadelphia County

Thea has become our go-to place for special occasions, or just to have dinner. We know we’ll have great food prepared in the best way possible. On this occasion, we celebrated our anniversary, and we had a most relaxing time over a wonderful meal and a bottle of wine. There were some dishes available which are not on the regular menu, enticing us to pass on our usual crispy Brussels sprouts for an appetizer of soft shell crabs that were excellent. While my wife then enjoyed a Caesar salad, I had my regular beet and arugula salad, outstanding as always. For our entrees, my wife dined on the shrimp and crab pasta (invariably the meal she chooses) while I had a special entree of Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Rigatoni in Cajun cream sauce, an item that I’m hoping will be added to the regular choices, as it was amazing. Though we hoped to share one of Thea’s delicious desserts, our appetites had been so satisfied that we couldn’t convince ourselves to indulge further. We left Thea content and without regret, talking about when we might return for our next gourmet experience.

Excellent food and service and a beautifully restored mansion

Fantastic place to dine. We’ve been here a couple times and have never had a meal we didn’t love. Recently, I had to change my reservations prior to the restaurant opening. I needed to change my party size from 2 to 6. I called the front desk and they told me they would check with the managers and call me back. My change was completed quickly and I was called back as promised. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend dining at The Barn, you wont be disappointed.

Great and never had to ask for refills, it was done automatically by the amazing staff.

We chose The Circular Room at Hotel Hershey for our 32nd wedding anniversary. We were overwhelmed by the little things they did for us. Provided cornbread with raspberry butter, the chocolate dipped strawberries, followed by salted caramel. When the strawberries arrived on the table - the plate had written in hard chocolate - "Happy 32nd Anniversary" What a great touch! These extras along with Mike, our server, made the evening an Eleven out of Ten. The food was outstanding too - we both had the filet and split the Apple Harvest Salad. My wife had a chocolate martini to start the night off that was maybe the best ever. Highly recommend The Circular and ask for Mike! Enjoy the best food and experience in Central PA.
