Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Our menu is a mixture of familiar Pittsburgh foods (think pierogies, hamburgers, French fries) and French bistro classics (beef tartare, raclette, mussels), and seasonal classics that come and go throughout the year. We put care into our vegetarian dishes too, including making our own tempeh, falafel, and veggie patties from scratch. Menu items change frequently--usually every day--and reflect many long-standing relationships we have with farms and breweries in our region. In addition to reservations, we also have a thirty seat bar that is first come, first serve. We don’t know exactly how old the bar is, but it’s at least seventy years old (probably older) and very cozy. Our friendly bartenders are here to make something you like.

ROCCO’S: A Legacy of Family, Tradition, and Fine Italian Dining. For us, business and family go hand in hand. When creating our restaurant, we knew we wanted it to be more than just a place to eat-we wanted it to be a tribute to the generations before us who built a life rooted in hard work, love, and tradition. That’s why we proudly named it after our great-grandfather, Rocco, who immigrated from Calabria, Italy, to start a new life with our great-grandmother. Together, they raised six children, one of whom is our Nana, who married our Grandfather Ed at just 18. They’ve been together ever since and spent the majority of their lives owning and running Italian restaurants. Now, we are honored to follow in their footsteps, carrying forward the old-school recipes, traditions, and values that have been passed down through generations. This restaurant is more than a business- it’s our family’s legacy, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you.Rooted in Legacy, Served with Excellence.

Martorano’s is, without question, one of the most phenomenal restaurants in Pittsburgh and continues to set the gold standard for what a true dining experience is. From the second you walk through the doors, you are welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and an atmosphere that feels both elegant and inviting. It is not just a restaurant—it is an experience, and every single visit reminds us why we continue coming back. The entrees are nothing short of amazing. Every dish is consistently exceptional, from the rich and flavorful pasta dishes to the perfectly cooked steaks and seafood. The attention to detail in every entrée is remarkable. Laurie and Ashley made sure our service was absolutely impeccable from start to finish. They were attentive, kind, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our evening was perfect. They anticipated needs before we even had to ask and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire dining experience. Joseph came over to say hello, as he always does, and that personal touch means everything. He has a way of making every guest feel like family, and that warmth keeps people coming back. He remembers people, makes genuine connections, and creates an atmosphere that feels personal rather than transactional. That kind of hospitality is rare, and Joseph delivers it effortlessly every time. And last but certainly not least—the man, the myth, the legend—Matt, the manager. Matt is truly the backbone of Martorano’s and the reason the entire restaurant runs so flawlessly. His leadership is exceptional, his attention to detail is second to none, and his commitment to excellence can be seen in every corner of the restaurant. He ensures that everything operates like a perfectly tuned, well-oiled machine. From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere, Matt leaves no stone unturned. He does not just manage—he creates an unforgettable experience.
