We arrived early and welcomed by a lovely host who showed us straight to our table, I had requested a quiet corner and that’s exactly what we got. The staff were attentive, well attired, friendly and professional, the food ( we opted for the ‘Cool Brittania’ menu ) was devine, an excellent drinks list and beautiful glassware ! The seating was very comfortable as was the temperature and it was lovely and quiet with soft background music. It was a really good experience and perhaps a hidden gem. We were warmly welcomed, expected due to having pre-booked, and taken to our reserved table. The service throughout was excellent, as was the tea (coke for my daughter) and food served, which included 4-varieties of sandwich, warm scones with cream and jam, and a super-cake selection. In fact we couldn't eat it all and they were well prepared with small takeout cartons. Benji's was well decorated/themed, creating a really nice setting. The sandwiches were a little dry on both sides and although there was a great selection of cakes, there were three of us and sometimes only 1 or 2 of the mini cakes on offer.
