Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Montreal East

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the city. To really understand how unique it is you just have to go for yourself. Food as art but also incredibly flavourful. The staff are a well oiled machine without pretense, just sheer excitement about what they are bringing you and a sincere effort to make sure your experience is seamless and fun. Very innovative and eclectic… very Montreal. Bravo! (PS I have been dining there since it opened in 2015… solid.)

I had the pleasure of dining at Hoogan & Beaufort the day after the Michelin star recognition and the experience fully lived up to the excitement surrounding this little hidden gem in the historic setting of Angus. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive and the entire team was exceptionally courteous. I enjoyed the asparagus entree, perfectly tender and wonderfully fresh , followed by the black cod, cooked in the wood-fire; buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My friend enjoyed the legendary ris de veau, which lived up to its reputation, followed by the lamb, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. Hoogan & Beaufort is a perfect balance of a contemporary wood-fire cooking restaurant, fresh ingredients locally sourced, warm hospitality, a relaxed yet elevated meal.

Friendly, professional and knowledgeable service. Superb food and an overall excellent experience. Well worth the price. We were fortunate to have some personal attention from Chuck Hughes and he was generous and sincere in his chats with us. Highly recommended

Group of four celebrating a Birthday. Dinner was amazing, service impeccable, decor is modern and comfortable. They have a pescatarian and vegetarian menu and were quite capable of meeting our various dietary restrictions. Bravo!!!
