University Restaurants

The areas surrounding universities typically boast diverse cuisines, and the UNLV's eastside neighborhood is no exception. Besides the expected chain restaurants, there are a number of ethnic eateries present. You might be surprised to find a Russian restaurant, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying an authentically prepared borscht or spicy beef shashlik kebabs served with fries and thinly peeled onion. Sushi fans will love the all-you-can-eat sushi options and can gorge themselves on hand rolls and specialty rolls with fresh fish like salmon and eel. Hawaiian cuisine is also represented with menus that feature items like kalua shredded pork and cabbage served with macaroni salad and rice. Located just off the Strip, the university area’s eclectic cuisine is worth the short cab ride.
