Almost forgot about the burrata ice cream made at the table. What a fabulous evening with great friends and the best food and service. And recommended by my friend’s son Dylan Patel. - SSaraJaneRaleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill •3 reviews5.0Dined on Apr 3, 2026Omber is a beaustiful restaurant inside the very beautiful Fivw Star Hotel Tivoli that overlooks the confluence of the Amstel River and a picturesque Dutch Canal. Each entree and course is influenced by Rembrandt who lived and created his masterpieces just a few steps away. I enjoyed veak cheeks with a pumpkin puree that was divine. While I ate alone, the staff was just as attentive to me as they were with other, more full tables.More infoOmber Restaurant€€€€• European• Nieuwendam•4.5

Discover De Pijp
Known as the Old South, most streets in this area are named after Dutch painters like van Gogh, as well as the famous modernist painter, Piet Mondriaan, who once lived here. The dining scene is equally artful, with many of the city’s trendiest restaurants located along these narrow streets, steps from the former Heineken brewery. Artisan burgers in minimalist digs earn high marks, and Vietnamese street food with locally sourced ingredients offers a fresh take on an Asian staple. For vegetarians, there’s a can’t-miss restaurant that has had a rotating menu since it opened in 1981. On the higher-end, a French bistro makes the most of seasonal ingredients while sourcing its wine directly from France. Get ready for a sophisticated trip through some of the city’s buzziest blocks.
